Highlighting our effort to make electronics recycling more accessible across St. Louis

I’m really excited to share that ByteBack STL was recently featured in Ladue News! The article highlights the work we’ve been doing to make electronics recycling easier and more accessible across St. Louis.

I started ByteBack STL because I kept seeing how hard it can be for people to recycle their old electronics. The biggest challenges are usually cost and convenience, so that’s what we’re trying to fix. Through our school collection program, partnership with Spectrum Ecycle, and community outreach, we’re making it simple and secure for anyone to recycle their devices responsibly.

Something I talked about in the article, and that’s become really important to me, is how e-waste isn’t just trash. It’s actually a source of valuable materials used in modern tech. But recycling has to be done the right way, with proper data destruction, to protect privacy and the environment.

This feature means a lot because it helps spread awareness and shows that with the right partnerships, we can make e-waste recycling part of everyday life.

I’d like to thank Drew Gieseke, the author of the Ladue News article, for taking the time to share our story and highlight how local efforts like ByteBack STL can make a difference.
